There was a time when a print buyer’s guide was the authority—when skiers would flip through the reviews as they were getting boots fitted and decide which skis they wanted to pull off the shop wall. Today, print means something different. It’s no longer merely a means to disseminate information, but rather a place to become immersed in stories and photography. We didn't want to ruin that experience with pages upon pages of product reviews. Instead we sought to produce something different, something that is Not Another Gear Guide. In this issue, we introduce the eccentric minds and innovations that are driving skiing forward, and do so through the comprehensive story-telling and mind-blowing photography that have been the calling card of Powder Magazine for 50 years.
